Lanes reopened on Hwy 174 after crews repair 'road erosion'

Highway 174 in Ottawa's east end was down to one lane in each direction due to what appeared to be a long fissure along the eastbound shoulder near Blair Road.

Ottawa police said Tuesday the rain had caused "road erosion" of the highway shoulder.

City crews responded to the highway to repair the road. Both lanes were reopened shortly before 7:30 p.m., the city said in a tweet.
