Ice Heard Cracking on Frozen Shore of Lake Superior
Sheets of ice atop Lake Superior could be heard cracking on the Great Lake’s shore in Ashland, Wisconsin, on December 20.
Local photographer Cheryl Koval captured footage along the water and posted it to YouTube on December 20, showing thick sheets of ice on the water.
“The cool sounds of ice cracking on Lake Superior and a little pancake ice on the Bay!” she said in a Twitter post.
