Ignited insulation prompts fire department response at Kennedale High School
Roof repairs at Kennedale High School prompted a response from the fire department Saturday after workers accidentally ignited a section of insulation, according to a post on the Kennedale ISD Facebook.
The burning insulation caused smoke to enter the building, which was evacuated as a precaution, officials said.
Crews with the Kennedale Fire Department responded and found no scorch marks or signs of a fire, concluding that only smoke from the insulation was present, according to the statement.
The incident will not affect school operations and students will return to school as scheduled on Jan. 13, officials said.
