Iliza Shlesinger Is Pregnant! Comedian Reveals She's Expecting Baby No. 2 in Sex Reveal Comedy Bit (Exclusive)
Shlesinger shares her baby news amidst a stand-up world tour
Iliza Shlesinger has another baby on the way!
The actress and comedian, 40, is expecting her second baby, a son due in February, she revealed in a new comedy video shared on Instagram Friday.
The video shows Shlesinger surprising a couple during their sex reveal by popping out of the box they expected balloons to explode out of. After explaining the environmental dangers of the practice, she shared her own baby news.
Shlesinger tells PEOPLE that filming the bit and revealing her and chef and cookbook author husband Noah Galuten's exciting baby news was "so fun!"
"My friends pitched in. I try to use my platform to advocate for the environment as much as I can. Sex reveals and baby celebrations can be done so irresponsibly so I just wanted to bring awareness to that while also making a point about simply having a baby is special enough," she shares. "Have some cake and celebrate, there’s no need to get the fire department involved!"

Of her second pregnancy, Shlesinger says that, "Aside from mild nausea at first, I’ve been touring so much I actually keep forgetting I’m pregnant (until I remember my underwear doesn’t fit)."
"But I think being an elder millennial mom who works, you are tired always anyway, so I guess I feel pretty normal," she laughs. "But I do miss being able to breathe through my nose!"
When it comes to becoming a mom the second time around, Shlesinger says she's "looking forward to being a little less clueless."
"But, at the same time, I am looking forward to discovering this brand-new person and see what he’s all about!" she adds.
Shlesinger and Galuten first met on a dating app back in 2016 and got engaged less than a year later. They tied the knot in Los Angeles in May 2018.
The couple became parents for the first time in January 2022, welcoming daughter Sierra Mae.
The expectant mom and comedian, recently featured on HBO’s The Righteous Gemstones, is in the midst of her Hard Feelings tour, which runs through the end of the year.
