Seann Walsh has become the seventh star to be eliminated from I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

The comedian looked gutted as he was told to leave the jungle by Ant and Dec after 19 days in camp.

Tearing up after watching his highlights reel, he said. "Oh my God, so many memories. So many amazing memories. You love that? I absolutely loved it. It is tough, and I don't know how much that comes across through the screen. But it's tough for everyone, especially in that middle bit.

"But honestly, I think as soon as you guys say my name, all of the tough bit just goes and now I'm just left with absolutely incredible memories. I'm gonna need a long time to just [process it]."

Walsh was a late arrival into the camp, acting as a mole alongside Matt Hancock. Memorably, the star burst into laughter the second he saw the MP, calling the moment "surreal".

"I'll be honest with you, when I saw Matt I thought 'maybe you're not going out first!'," he laughed. "But he was lovely, and he's still there for a reason. He was a lovely guy."

Walsh added that he was also touched by the support he received in camp, particularly after his career stalled after his cheating scandal on Strictly – and became particularly close to Babatune Aleshe during his time on the show.

"One of the things that I did want to get out of this was, you know in comedy you're basically you're just with comics and you don't really kind of go outside of that, like anyone in most jobs. But to meet all of those people from different walks of life... to meet a popstar, but not only that, wash his back! I washed Boy George's back! I wonder what my mum was thinking," he laughed.

With the finale getting closer, Walsh admitted he was gutted he missed out on the iconic Celebrity Cyclone challenge, but reckons the winner is England footballer Jill Scott.

"I have to say, I'm afraid it's an easy answer, because I love all of them, but from the minute I met her, it's got to be Jill," he said. "And actually, I thought 'yeah, there's no way I'm gonna win this because that's the winner right there.'"

After his interview, Walsh was reunited with his girlfriend, Grace Adderley, who is pregnant with his first child.

The finale is now just two days away, with only four celebrities remaining in the jungle.

Mike Tindall, Jill Scott, Owen Warner and Matt Hancock all stand a chance of being king or queen of the jungle.

Charlene White, Scarlette Douglas, Sue Cleaver, Boy George, Babatúndé Aléshé and Chris Moyles have been eliminated so far over the past week.

Olivia Attwood originally appeared in the line-up, but had to leave on medical grounds after just 24 hours.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here continues weeknights at 9pm on ITV.
