I'm A Celebrity fans are all making the same joke about Matt Hancock and Gina Coladangelo's bridge reunion

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were all making the same joke about Matt Hancock's reunion with Gina Coladangelo during the show's final.

The MP placed third in the ITV contest and walked out across the treetop bridge where campmates are usually greeted by their loved ones after being booted from the show.

Hancock ran into the arms of partner Coladangelo, but many of the show's viewers experienced a moment of deja vu as they joked they had seen the same scene before.

Singer Grace Davies tweeted: "i think i’ve seen this film before…"

It was a joke echoed by many other viewers as they made reference to the infamous leaked photo of the pair kissing in footage that exposed their affair during lockdown and led to Hancock's resignation as health secretary.

Viewers tweeted similar comments including: "Haven’t we seen this episode before?" and "I knew I'd seen this before," as they shared the two photos alongside each other.

Someone else wrote: "Have the public not seen enough of Matt and gina’s pda before this."

However, others took it more seriously after reports that Hancock had employed a PR firm to flood social media with positive comments about him during his time on the reality TV show.

Dave Jones tweeted: "The kiss on the bridge was deliberately posed to reflect that CCTV image too. Everything he has done has been staged… but why? What’s his end game here?"

Labour MP Emily Thornberry tweeted a link to a story about the PR campaign ahead of the final, writing: "Sorry? What? Matt Hancock has a PR firm working to support his popularity in #ImACeleb! We really shouldn't let them get away with this."

Jill Scott was the eventual winner of the show with Owen Warner as runner up, but many people expressed their anger that Hancock had been in the cast at all.

Palliative care doctor Rachel Clarke tweeted: "I really couldn't care less how cheerfully or humbly Matt Hancock eats a camel's penis. Nurses in my hospital died of the Covid they caught there, thanks to inadequate PPE. He authorised sending residents back to care homes when we knew they had Covid. He's never apologised."

Former chief prosecutor Nazir Afzal wrote: "I don’t care that Matt Hancock “comes across so well” on @imacelebrity His decision to stop community covid testing on the 12th March 2020 led to my brothers death, alone & at home 4 weeks later Ditto 10000s of others I cannot forget that & nor should you."
