Who’s inactive for Carolina Panthers-New Orleans Saints Monday Night Football game?
A few healthy Carolina Panthers won’t play tonight.
Running back and returner Raheem Blackshear won’t, and neither will offensive guard Nash Jensen, offensive tackle David Sharpe, linebacker DJ Johnson and cornerback Sam Webb.
Just because Carolina had some decisions to make tonight doesn’t mean the team has eluded the injury bug — because the Panthers haven’t.
Jaycee Horn, the team’s top corner, was placed on the IR on Friday after a hamstring injury. Offensive lineman Brady Christensen was also announced as out for the season this week — one of two guards the Panthers will have to protect Bryce Young without. Austin Corbett is still serving time on the PUP list as he rehabs from knee surgery.
Some good news for Carolina fans? Young will have back wide receiver DJ Chark, the team’s best deep threat, after missing a bunch of practices and last week’s season opener with a hamstring injury. His return — even if it’s on a predicted “pitch count” — will be particularly welcomed considering the Panthers took very few deep shots against Atlanta.
Right tackle Taylor Moton (biceps) was left off the final injury report for the week on Saturday and will play tonight. Cade Mays (right side) and Chandler Zavala (left) will start in the guard slots on the O-Line.
#Panthers WR DJ Chark will make his 2023 regular-season debut tonight after missing last week with a hamstring injury. Follow our coverage at @theobserver: https://t.co/PgNXYztUPV pic.twitter.com/uj3j0LMYs2
