Indonesia Plane Missing With 10 People On Board

A passenger plane carrying 10 people, including three children, has gone missing in Indonesia.

Contact was lost with the Twin Otter aircraft about 30 minutes before it was due to land.

The plane, owned by Aviastar Mandiri airlines, was travelling between Masamba and Makassar.

A rescue team has been sent to search for the aircraft on the island of Sulawesi.

Aviastar Mandiri, which mainly offers domestic flights, has been banned from operating in the European Union because of its safety record.
