Infant dead after being found unresponsive in swimming pool in Harrow: OPP

A child has died after being found unresponsive in a swimming pool in Harrow on Saturday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say.

Emergency services responded to a Huffman Road address after a child was found in the pool, police said in a news release Wednesday.

Police said the infant was transported to hospital and was pronounced dead.

Police did not provide information on the child's age or sex.

The authorities say investigation by the Essex OPP Crime Unit remains ongoing, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
