Intel delays for $20 billion Ohio factory amid stalled CHIPS Act

DAVE BRIGGS: And here now a news alert. Intel issues a warning on its new chip factory outside Columbus, Ohio, the company saying in a statement, the factory could be delayed because of Congress and their inaction on the Chips Act. Intel announced it was building the factory back in January with an Intel initial investment of $20 billion. Could cost as much as $100 billion, which would be the most significant expansion of US based semiconductor manufacturing in many years.
