Interim Conservative leader says Emergencies Act used to 'get the prime minister out of hot water'

Interim Conservative Leader Candice Bergen on Wednesday during question period accused the government of invoking of the Emergencies Act in February to "get the prime minister out of hot water," though didn't explain what "hot water" she was referring to. She also went on to say that Trudeau was not firing Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino for his comments about the decision to invoke the act because he is "helping cover for the prime minister."
