Internet urges couple to reunite after ex sends birthday gift to dog

The internet is rallying for a Texas woman to get back with her ex after she shared the thoughtful gift he sends their dog every year, despite being separated.

Rebecca Hernandez posted a series of photos she took of the gifts sent by her ex, Frankie, to their dog Apollo.

“My ex and I split up two years ago and he still sends our dog, Apollo, a birthday card and gift card to Petco on his birthday,” she wrote, followed by the hashtag #NoBadBlood.

One of the photos shows a birthday card with a long note written inside, which ends with “Be there for her like you were for me.”

The touching gesture made many Twitter users emotional, with some urging them to get back together.

Even Petco chimed in.

Although the couple separated two years ago, neither has filed for divorce.

“It’s been rocky,” Hernandez told Buzzfeed. “We’ve had a lot of growing up to do. We still get sentimental when we speak because we will always love each other.”

She admits that sharing Frankie’s card on Twitter has changed the dynamic of their relationship, and the couple is talking more than they have in years.

“Our families believe that this is what is going to bring us back together again,” she said. “Who knows where this will lead for our relationship.”
