After a summer of dust and delays, the new intersection at Water and Grafton streets in Charlottetown has officially opened, though some work remains.

Water Street now connects to Grafton east of Joe Ghiz Park, instead of at the intersection by the Hillsborough Bridge. The old section of road from Water Street to the bridge is now closed to traffic.

The area continues to be an active construction zone and motorists are asked to obey signs and traffic control personnel. A section of Grafton Street is still unpaved.

The construction has caused traffic delays for months.
