Iranians on the US election 2024: Trump or Harris?
If Iranians had the power to cast their vote in this election, whom would they support —Trump or Harris? And why?
Last time Trump was in the White House he expanded and reimposed sanctions on the oil-rich nation, causing its oil exports to plummet.
He has said of his tenure that "Iran was on the verge of bankruptcy. They had no money left. They had no money for Hamas, they had no money for Hezbollah."
Biden, and Harris, have sought to de-escalate tensions in the Middle East, but Trump is likely to make a more hard-line approach.
Despite this, not all Iranians are opposed to Trump getting in power. Euronews Persian reached out to several of them for their opinions on who should get the keys to the White House.
