Isla Fisher Spills on Funny Holiday Gag Involving Look-Alike Amy Adams — and Reveals Wedding Crashers Sequel

Turns out even Isla Fisher’s friends and family can’t tell her apart from Amy Adams.

The look-alike actresses are costars in Tom Ford’s new thriller, Nocturnal Animals, but Fisher says she’s been getting confused for her celebrity doppelgänger long before they teamed up onscreen.

On Thursday’s episode of NBC News’ Today, Fisher revealed that she and her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, decided to have a little fun with her uncanny resemblance to Adams.

“One year for our holiday greeting card, I cut and pasted Amy Adams’ face over mine,” she admitted with a laugh.

“So it was Sacha, Amy and the kids and then we said, ‘Season’s greetings from Sasha, Isla’ — no one noticed,” she added.

Fisher also had a big surprise announcement for fans of 2005’s Wedding Crashers. “I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party and he said apparently we are going to be making a sequel,” she revealed.

The actress was quick to add that she’s not sure if the movie is officially a go, but she certainly seemed interested in returning to the part. “I’m excited to see what happened to Gloria!” she said of her character from the hit comedy.
