Jackass Shark Week stunt goes horribly wrong

The guys from Jackass have decided to get in on the shark-infested fun of Discovery channel’s Shark Week. And after a few different stunts that resulted in nothing but safe and sound results, Steve-O and Chris Pontius sent their friend Sean McInerney, aka Poopies, over an impossible wakeboard jump with nothing but sharks swimming below. And you might be able to guess what happened next.

Unfortunately, he had a bit of trouble sticking the landing and was almost immediately bitten by a shark on his arm and hand after he entered the water. Thankfully McInerny didn’t sustain more than a hand injury from the shark bite, and when he showed up in a later interview after the fact with a cast covering his forearm and hand, he pretty much had only Steve-O and his friends to blame for what happened.

I knew there was a chance I was gonna get bit by a shark but I didn't think it was gonna happen,” McInerney said. “ No, I don't blame the sharks at all. I mean, I was in their living room, and it was dinner time.”

KYLIE MAR: To throw a little donkey into "Shark Week," the boys from "Jackass" decided to try their hand at some shark stunts. And they sent their friend Sean McInerney, aka Poopies, over an impossible jump with nothing but sharks swimming below. You could probably guess what happened next.

KYLIE MAR: Despite this scary moment, viewers on Twitter didn't seem too concerned with the well-being of Poopies and we're just glad that the "Jackass" guys were there to lend their thoughts. And of course, they need just what to say.

- I mean, this was only one bite in one spot. OK. And he's not missing anything.

- No, nope.

- It's a reminder that, yeah, like, we are pushing it pretty hard. And this can all-- this could happen, of course.

KYLIE MAR: Thankfully, Poopies didn't sustain more than a hand injury from the shark bite. Aaron pretty much has only Steve-O and his friends to blame at this point.

- I definitely got a degree in shark college there. I knew there was a chance I was going to get bit by a shark, but I didn't think it was going to happen.

- Are you mad at that shark?

- No, I don't blame the sharks at all. I mean, I was in their living room, and it was dinnertime.
