Boardgames are so 20th-century. If you're looking for a more modern experience, gather your friends or family around the ol' laptop. Jackbox makes some genuinely fun, funny and original party games for PCs, and right now there's an incredible deal to be had on a boatload of them.

It's called the Humble Jackbox Summer Party Bundle, a collection of around 35 total games. You can purchase smaller, cheaper versions of the bundle (starting at just $1), but allow me to make the case for the big enchilada.

Starting at $1

For starters, the combined value of the complete bundle is $213. To get the whole thing, all you have to do is pay at least as much as the average purchase price, which is currently $20.45.

That's already a huge win for you; here's how it becomes a huge win for others: You can decide to give some (or even most) of your payment to charity. Humble lets you decide the percentage.

Meanwhile, the games themselves are a blast. I'll use Quiplash as an example, because it's a personal favorite. It's like a computer-based version of the game Apples to Apples — but with a dash of the more adult-themed Cards Against Humanity thrown in. There's a prompt — "Name something you'd be surprised to see a donkey do," for example — and two players try to come up with the "best" answer. Then everyone votes on the one they like best.

Interestingly, although the game itself is limited to eight players at a time, up to 10,000 (!) can participate in the voting.

How is that possible? The game runs on your computer (pro tip: connect it to your TV for easier viewing), but players participate on their phones. There's no app needed; they just open a browser and enter a game code. Easy-peasy.

With the right group, Quiplash (which, incidentally, normally sells for $10 all by itself) is an absolute blast. And that's just one example. You also get a truckload of quiz-show games (the You Don't Know Jack series) and lots more.

Assuming you have fun friends and a laptop that's easily connected to your TV (an HDMI cable will do the trick in most cases), this is an incredible deal. And thanks to the charity part, you get to feel extra-good about buying it.
