Jamie Lee Curtis Says She’s ‘Turned on by Creativity’ and Will Continue to ‘Create Until I Die’
“All of a sudden, I’m a bitch boss — and I like it,” the actress said of realizing her creative power
Jamie Lee Curtis is all about being creative!
While appearing on a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Gold Minds with Kevin Hart, the actress, 65, detailed what keeps her creative juices flowing and spoke about how she plans to never slow down creatively for the rest of her life.
"If you’re a creative person, the tragedy is creativity dies with you if you don’t let it out," Curtis began. "For me, I wake up turned on by creativity every day. I wake up like this every day. There’s not a day in my life where I wake up going, like, 'Ugh.' "
Detailing that she is "owning" where she is in this stage of her life, the Academy Award winner continued, "All of a sudden, I’m a bitch boss — and I like it."

According to Curtis, being in control of her career and creativity is an experience like no other.
"I’m now taking all of this great opportunity that has come my way," she explained, then detailing that working on films and the opportunities that have come from that have awarded her the option to collaborate on what she wants.

"I am now getting to produce things, and then one of these things will end up on a screen, and you will get to see my name, and it will say, 'Produced by Jamie Lee Curtis,' " the Borderlands star said.
Of her overall creative process, Curtis added, "I’m a creative person, I am constantly creating, and I will create until I die. I will not end up being one of those people that just drifts away. I’m gonna create until I die, because that is what turns me on every day.

One passion project that Curtis is working on is the sequel to Freaky Friday — the 2003 film in which she starred opposite Lindsay Lohan as a mother-daughter pair who swap bodies.
In June, Walt Disney Studios confirmed that filming for the sequel is currently underway, as they shared a photo of Curtis and Lohan, 38, on set.
Variety reported that the film will exclusively debut in theaters, despite previous reports that it would be a Disney+ original.
Freaky Friday 2 is expected to be released in 2025.
