'Lady in red': Jane Seymour, 70, 'astonishes' fans with 'vibrant' red look

Jane Seymour proved she's the ultimate "lady in red" with her latest look.

The 70-year-old actress took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a photo of herself beaming in a bold red sweater with her more than 230,000 followers.

"Lady in red," she wrote. "There’s something transformative and powerful when you wear red. It’s truly one of my favourite colours to wear! What colour do you like wearing when you want to feel special?"

The "Live and Let Die" actress's post was met with praise from fans for sporting the "empowering" shade.

"Wow. Red really suits you so well," one Instagram user commented.

"Ma'am, red is most definitely your colour!" another wrote. "You are glowing. Love this shade on you. I like to stick to neutrals, but I respect this bold colour choice on you."

"Red makes me feel empowered, too," a fan said. "I love matching a red lip to my outfit as well — such a good colour and red is definitely your colour, Jane."

"Wow you astonish me, you look younger and more stunning every day," another said. "You totally inspire me. Naturally beautiful."

One person admitted that Seymour's sweater inspired them to add more vibrant colours to their own wardrobe.

"Red is absolutely your colour! You look so happy and vibrant and young! Love that for you, Jane. Definitely tempted to add more red to my wardrobe now hahah!" they penned.

While Seymour may garner attention for her timeless good looks, the former Bond girl has said she's opposed to plastic surgery.

"I don’t want to do anything permanent," Seymour told You magazine, although she admits to receiving cosmetic fillers. "I’m a sculptor, so I know that once you change one thing you want to change another and then you’re chasing some kind of Barbie-doll illusion.
