BRUCE COUNTY – The Nov. 4 meeting of county council was the final one this term.

The election of the warden for 2022 will take place on Dec. 2.

The current warden, Janice Jackson, South Bruce Peninsula, has said she’s interested in returning for another term.

County Coun. Chris Peabody, Brockton, said he’d be pleased to put forward her nomination. County Coun. Steve Hammell, Arran-Elderslie, seconded it.

“It’s been a great year,” Jackson said. “I would be honoured.”

CAO Sandra Datars Bere thanked Jackson and council for their leadership over the past year.
