Jay Leno Returns to ‘The Tonight Show’ to Save Jimmy’s Monologue

On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Fallon “injured” himself during his opening monologue on one of his jokes. But fortunately Jay Leno was on hand to throw some shade at President Trump, saying, “Trump said he won’t throw out the first pitch. He’s skipping the correspondents dinner. Is he that thin-skinned? You know, if this guy was any more of a pussy, he could grab himself.”

And Leno was really on a roll when he started talking the economy: “The only people jumping the White House fence are contractors trying to get Trump to pay their bills. That’s how bad the economy is. The economy is so bad, Kellogg’s had to sell Tony the Tiger to a Chinese zoo. That’s how bad it is.”

With all the talk about money and jobs, Jimmy was starting to miss his, so, feeling back to his old self, he jumped on the bandwagon and added his two cents on the economy: “The economy is so bad, Kendall Jenner just did a commercial for RC Cola.”

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes free on Yahoo View.
