Jay-Z Accused Of Raping 13-Year-Old Girl With Diddy As Unnamed Female Celeb Watched
Jay-Z is accused in a lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl with fellow music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The lawsuit was first filed in October but did not list Jay-Z, whose given name is Shawn Carter, by name until an amended complaint was filed Sunday, NBC News first reported.
The plaintiff, listed as “Jane Doe,” alleges that Carter and Combs drugged her and subsequently took turns raping her while an unnamed female celebrity watched in 2000 at a house party in Manhattan after the MTV Video Music Awards, according to the amended complaint, which HuffPost obtained. At the time, she was 13 years old, and Carter and Combs would have both been about 31 years old.
She claimed that Carter raped her vaginally first and then Combs did the same. Combs then attempted to force her to perform oral sex as Carter and the woman watched, but she managed to escape, running to a nearby gas station, the lawsuit added.
Carter was originally named as “Celebrity A” in the lawsuit and the woman was named as “Celebrity B.” However, when the plaintiff’s legal team notified Carter of the suit in a “mediation” attempt, he filed an “utterly frivolous lawsuit” and orchestrated “a conspiracy of harassment, bullying and intimidation” against “Jane Doe’s” lawyers and others in an effort to keep his name out of the suit, the complaint said.
“This effort was meant to scare Plaintiff and to discredit her counsel. That effort failed. Indeed, Plaintiff chose to file this amendment as a result of the egregious conduct perpetuated by Carter,” the complaint continued.
It’s unclear to HuffPost what lawsuit Carter filed. However, a “John Doe” filed a lawsuit last month against the plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, accusing him of extortion. Buzbee denied the claim — calling it “frivolous” and an “aggressive attempt to intimidate or silence me and ultimately my clients.”
The female “Celebrity B” has not been named.
HuffPost reached out to Carter’s attorney for comment but didn’t immediately hear back. However, Carter released a searing statement through Roc Nation, which he founded, on Sunday evening denying the “heinous” allegations and taking aim at Buzbee’s character and background as a Marine.

In his statement, Carter claimed Buzbee attempted to blackmail him through a demand letter. Instead of acquiescing to the alleged blackmail attempt, Carter said, he now seeks to “expose” Buzbee, whom he referred to as a “fraud” and a “deplorable human.”
“My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age,” the statement added.
Carter is married to singer Beyoncé Knowles and they have three children together.
Buzbee, who has led an effort to file more than 120 lawsuits against Combs, did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment. He did put out a statement on social media seemingly addressing Carter’s Sunday statement.
“Despite a coordinated and aggressive effort that has included harassing my kids, contacting my clients and former clients to encourage them to sue me, contacting my colleagues or former employees asking if I’ve ‘abused’ them, showing up at my current employees’ homes to harass them, filing frivolous cases against me and my law firm, defaming me with outrageous assertions to anyone who will listen, and having mysterious people follow me and my family, I’m still THAT guy,” Buzbee wrote, alluding to a prior photo of himself as a young Marine.
“I won’t be bullied or intimidated. People will see through this effort to discredit me and my clients and the truth will be revealed. I also won’t allow anyone to scare my clients into silence,” Buzbee added.
Combs and Carter have a friendship that goes back decades, as documented through songs and photos together. During a 2023 conversation with James Corden, Combs said Carter was the only person besides his mom allowed to call him by his first name, Sean. (Carter’s first name is Shawn. While their names are spelled differently, they are both pronounced the same way.)
Combs is facing myriad civil lawsuits — and a criminal investigation — that began rolling in when his ex Casandra “Cassie” Ventura accused him of rape and abuse in a quickly settled November 2023 lawsuit. He’s currently being detained at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center until his May 15 trial date for his federal charges. He has denied many of the claims against him.
