Jenn Tran Confirms Devin Strader Dumped Her Over the Phone, Was “Checked Out,” and Refused Couples Counseling
The Bachelorette ended on a heartbreaking note: Jenn Tran revealed that her fiancé Devin Strader had an abrupt change of heart and ended their relationship...literally over the phone.
“It’s been a really hard couple of months,” the reality star explained. “We had left Hawai‘i engaged and very happy. I thought that I had found the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with and then, essentially, as soon as we left Hawai‘i, things were different. It kind of just felt like he was pulling away.”
Jenn went on to say, “The efforts were inconsistent—he wasn’t calling as much, texting as much. I was confused, I didn’t understand because we had just left so happy.”
Apparently, Devin ended things right before their “happy couple visit” in July, when he called and “basically said that he didn’t love me anymore and didn’t feel the same way....He regretted getting engaged.”
The Bachelorette then added that she’s spent the past month trying to “empathize” with the way Devin felt, but at the end of the day, “he was making bold proclamations of love and then suddenly the next day he was like, nothing and he denied ever being in love.” She even suggested taking the “pressure off” and just dating, but Devin was apparently “checked out,” “didn’t want to go to couples counseling,” and “didn’t want to fight for the relationship anymore—he was just done.”
This is obviously beyond sad to hear, so sending Jenn all the positive vibes!
