Jenna Jameson and her family are speaking out about a serious health ordeal she’s going through.

The former adult film star’s partner Lior Bitton posted to Jenna’s Instagram account over the weekend with a video giving fans an update on her health condition. Bitton said that Jenna was “not feeling so good” and had been “throwing up for a couple of weeks” before seeking medical care.

Doctors did a CT scan on her and sent her home. But Bitton said that Jenna “couldn’t carry herself” when she returned.

“Her muscles in her legs were very weak. So she wasn't able to walk to the bathroom,” he said. “She was falling on the way back or to the bathroom, I would have to pick her up and carry her to bed. And then within two days it go really not so good, her legs started to not hold her, she wasn't able to walk."

Jenna, 47, later shared an “edit” in the comments of the post, writing, “Turns out it is [Guillain] Barre syndrome. I am at the hospital healing. Thanks everyone for your prayers and well wishes!”

Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare, autoimmune disorder where a person’s own immune system damages the nerves, leading to muscle weakness and sometimes paralysis, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Guillain-Barré can cause symptoms that last for a few weeks to a few years and, while most people recover fully, some have permanent nerve damage.

Guillain-Barré syndrome is usually treated with high-dose immunoglobulin therapy (IVIg), where patients are given healthy antibodies through an IV—and which Jenna said in a follow-up post that she’s receiving. She also added this: “I did NOT get the jab or any jab. This is NOT a reaction to the jab.”

Since then, Jenna remains hospitalized—but doctors have ruled out Guillain-Barré syndrome as the cause of her illness, Bitton explained on Instagram. “Jenna is still in the hospital. She doesn’t have the Guillain-Barré syndrome,” he said in a video posted on Jenna's account.

“It was confirmed by the doctor after a second test and five rounds of IVIg. So, she does not have the Guillain-Barré," Bitton added. "She still in the hospital with on going neurological tests," he noted in the caption. "We’ll keep you posted soon."
