Jennifer Aniston joined by Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox for Emmys 'Friends' reunion

Friends fans were treated to a mini-reunion during Sunday's Emmy Awards as Jennifer Aniston was joined at home by Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.

It came after Aniston first featured as an in-person presenter at the beginning of the virtual awards which were hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

A few hours into the 72nd ceremony, he checked in on the star only to joke about how surprised he was to see Cox sitting aside her.

"Of course I’m here. We live together," the Monica actor quipped before Aniston, 51, added: "Yeah we’ve been roommates since 1994."

Kudrow then wandered into shot and jested: "Hey, is this live TV?"

Kimmel questioned if she too lived with Aniston to which she replied: "Yeah, where else would I live?"

The three were also joined by Aniston's pal Jason Bateman who didn't not star in the popular sitcom, although Kimmel jokingly referred to him as David Schwimmer's character Ross.

Aniston was nominated in the Lead Actress in a Drama series category for her work in The Morning Show but lost out to Euphoria's Zendaya.

The get-together of three out of the six main Friends cast members comes as the release date of the official reunion remains uncertain as the coronavirus pandemic has meant shooting hasn't been able to take place.

It was originally slated to film in March but the production has now been delayed twice.

Marta Kauffman, the series co-creator, has said the unscripted special won't be made "until it is safe" to do so as the show "needs" a live studio audience.
