Jennifer Hudson Shimmers From Head to Toe in Coordinated Sequined Dress and Coat for NBC’s 2024 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Performance
Jennifer Hudson was among the A-list talent who performed during NBC’s “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” on Wednesday in New York City. The venerated actress and singer and EGOT recipient performed a rendition of “Make It to Christmas,” which appears on her 2024 Christmas album “The Gift of Love.”
Hudson opted for a shimmering holiday ensemble that made the “Dreamgirls” Oscar winner glitter from head to toe. The eponymous talk show host wore a shimmering coat with soft lapels and shoulders and large pockets just below the waist.

The coat featured allover sequins, which perfectly complemented the dress Hudson wore beneath the garment. The singer also wore a Simon Miller metallic silver dress with a rounded neckline, featuring allover sequins to coordinate with her coat.
To complete the ensemble, Hudson continued her silver metallic motif, wearing a pair of pointed-toe heels. As for her accessories, Hudson wore a pair of statement earrings and a few delicate rings. Her glam featured soft makeup with a hint of a smokey eye and glossy lip. Her hair was styled in a sleek, pulled back look to show off her sartorial statement.
Hudson wasn’t the only star who performed during NBC’s holiday special. The singer was also joined by Kelly Clarkson, who hosted the event and performed as well, opting for a bold black coat courtesy of luxury fashion brand Alaïa.
Clarkson’s coat featured a suede-like texture, which was made of a chenille yarn and fine wool. The look from the Italian luxury fashion brand also included a knitted fur shawl collar, which was replicated in the lower hem and cuff.
Other stars who joined Hudson and Clarkson included Raye, Coco Jones and more. Each performer showed off their own approach to festive holiday dressing, styling cozy ensembles, glittering looks and more — all of which offered sartorial inspiration for the season.
