Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Sell Malibu Beach House

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez just slimmed down their real estate portfolio. The couple sold off their Malibu beach house for $6.775 million after less than two months on the market, the Wall Street Journal reports. The pair bought the home from Entourage star Jeremy Piven last year for $6.6 million, and planned to upgrade much of the 4,404-square-foot home’s interiors with the help of Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines. A source told the WSJ that those plans didn’t materialize, however, though a reason for the collaboration’s failure wasn’t explicitly given.

The four-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom dwelling spans three floors, with the main suite occupying the entire top floor. There are ocean-facing decks on all three levels, and entire walls of glass sliders give the house a desirable indoor-outdoor flow. Importantly, each of the property’s five bedrooms has a view of the sea.

Under Piven’s ownership, the interiors were updated to include Southeast Asian accents, but it’s unclear whether Lopez and Rodriguez changed or modified the aesthetics. Images of the property reveal an upstairs screening room, an outdoor Jacuzzi on the main-level deck, and an entertainment unit that occupies much of the lower level, consisting of a wet bar and a dry sauna.

In addition to listing and selling their Malibu property, the superstar couple have made moves in Miami this year, purchasing a $40 million waterfront mansion on Miami’s exclusive Star Island last month.
