Jennifer Lopez Fuses ’60s Sensibility With Y2K Edge in Dior Coat and Gladiator Boots at the ‘Unstoppable’ London Photo Call
Jennifer Lopez embraced an old-school style for the “Unstoppable” photo call in London on Thursday. The actress and singer was joined by her costars during the latest event for the film’s promotional tour.
For the occasion, Lopez chose an ensemble by Christian Dior, featuring a striking, crisp white, double-breasted coat that evoked early 2000s elegance with a contemporary design.

Lopez’s coat, crafted from ecru virgin wool and silk gabardine, featured a fitted silhouette with flap pockets and a martingale belt. Beneath it, she wore a black turtleneck sweater. She accessorized with a Dior fedora, embossed with the designer’s name.
The standout piece of Lopez’s ensemble was the D-Idole heeled boot. This black patent calfskin design featured an open back with adjustable straps and gold-finish metal buckles, complemented by gold-finish spherical heels for an added touch of glamour. The gladiator style of shoes, particularly gladiator sandals, were a staple of early 2000s fashion.
Both the boots and Lopez’s coat made their runway debut as part of the fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection during Paris Fashion Week last February. Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative director of Dior, curated a collection partly inspired by “the outfits that women adopted in the ‘60s as they made their first steps into careers in roles traditionally dominated by men,” WWD’s Joelle Diderich wrote.
Chiuri also paid tribute to Marc Bohan, who helmed Dior in the 1960s. “His work at Dior was underestimated in some ways, but I think that it was very crucial,” she said in a preview for the collection. “He understood that women at the time were in a moment where they wanted to change their style of life. His dialogue was with the daughters of the clients at Dior.”
“Unstoppable” chronicles the life of wrestler Anthony Robles. Born with one leg, Robles went on to win a national championship in 2011 while competing at Arizona State University. Lopez costars in the film with Jharrel Jerome, Don Cheadle and Michael Peña. “Unstoppable” hits theaters Jan. 16.
