Jennifer Lopez’s New Show ‘Thanks a Million’ Looks *So* Uplifting
Jennifer Lopez and friends are serving up just the kind of feel-good content we need right now.
Today, the trailer for J.Lo’s brand-new series, Thanks a Million, dropped and it shows the 50-year-old “Jenny from the Block” singer along with stars like Kristen Bell, Nick Jonas, Karlie Kloss, Yara Shahidi, Tracy Morgan, Aaron Rogers, Kevin Hart and more paying it forward—literally.
In the show, celebrities surprise inspirational figures who have impacted their lives personally by casually gifting them $100,000. The monetary gift sets about a chain reaction in which the individual then has to give half of that money (aka $50,000) to an everyday person who has positively changed their life. Pretty neat, huh?
The trailer shows ten celebrities meeting with community leaders, healthcare professionals and more to emotionally connect with them and spread a little monetary joy.
Over the course of the ten episodes, $1,000,000 will be given out, hence the title (Thanks a Million). Lopez executive produced the series for Quibi (the new content-streaming app that features shows like Chrissy Teigen’s Chrissy’s Court and Sophie Turner’s Survive).
Both the show and the app debut on April 6, but you can preorder Quibi now. As a perk, the app is offering a 90-day free trial for those who sign up before April 30. In addition to the aforementioned titles, Quibi will also feature such gems as Murder House Flip, Joe Jonas’s travel show and Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron’s dog house building series.
