Jeremy Kyle to return and ‘have his say’ after ITV show was axed: ‘He’s battled unimaginable consequences’
Jeremy Kyle is returning to “have his say” after his show was axed by ITV following the death of one of its guests in May 2019.
The presenter has remained silent ever since the channel decided to cancel The Jeremy Kyle Show, after Steve Dymond died just days after failing a lie detector test on the series.
Now, Kyle’s representative, Claire Powell, has told the star’s fans to “watch this space” in a lengthy Instagram post.
“Jeremy first came to prominence as a Sony Award-winning radio host who changed the game at BRMB, Virgin Radio, Capital FM, talkSPORT and talkRADIO,” she wrote.
“Known for his honest, engaging opinions, Jeremy has also authored numerous columns for The Sun and a bestselling book for Hodder & Stoughton.
“A committed father and family man, he’s also a cancer survivor who has miraculously just welcomed a new son (and grandson!) into the world.”
She told her followers that, “after a year spent battling the unimaginable consequences of a devastating tragedy, Jeremy Kyle will be back soon to have his say.”

Following outrage from mental health experts and members of parliament, the show was axed permanently. The news also caused MPs to launch an inquiry into reality TV.
The committee investigated whether enough support is offered to reality TV participants during and after filming.
After being told aftercare for guests who appear on the show “doesn’t exist”, ITV said in a statement: “As a producer and broadcaster ITV takes its responsibilities around duty of care to participants very seriously. Supporting the physical and mental health of everyone involved in our programmes is our highest priority.
The investigation was also launched following the the suicides of two former Love Island contestants Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon.
Earlier this month, former Love Island host Caroline Flack was found dead in her east London flat months after being suspended from the role after allegations of assault against her boyfriend.
