Jeremy Piven Sells Tribeca Penthouse Previously Owned by Mike Piazza

Jeremy Piven’s luxe Tribeca penthouse has found a buyer. The duplex, which previously belonged to retired Major League Baseball star Mike Piazza, recently sold for $5 million, Variety reports. While this is slightly less than Piven originally listed it for last year, that number is still a bit higher than the $4.8 million the Entourage actor paid for it back in 2011.

The two bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom penthouse measures a little over 3,000 square feet, with an additional 1,000 square feet of outdoor space, courtesy of two linked roof terraces. Immediately upon entering the unit, guests are greeted by sleek American walnut floors and an industrial-looking staircase leading to the second floor. There’s also a long built-in banquette. That space leads to the galley kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances and glass panels at one end that open onto a combination office/gym.

One of the bedrooms is located on the lower floor, while the larger bedroom is situated on the second floor. The master bedroom and bathroom have entire walls of floor-to-ceiling glass that overlook and open out onto a private courtyard patio that is currently outfitted with wood plank planters and a patch of grass. Other outdoor spaces include a rooftop deck with a built-in barbecue, wooden benches, and views of a distinct building designed by Pritzker Prize–winning architects Herzog & de Meuron (where, fun fact, Cardi B had her Vogue cover shoot last year). A spiral staircase leads up to a second rooftop terrace, where there are lounge chairs at the ready.

Last year, Piven made another major sale when he offloaded his longtime Malibu home to Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez for $6.6 million. He still maintains an eye-catching glass house in the Hollywood Hills that he bought for $6.8 million in 2017.
