Jeremy Renner is checking in with his social media followers.

Early Thursday morning, Renner, 53, posted a selfie to his Instagram account showing himself wearing glasses in the back seat of a car. The actor shared an uplifting message with his followers, days after he made a surprise appearance at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday.

"Checking in with this thought. All of the obstacles, the problems, and failures are my allies of whom pour the foundation where my successes are built," Renner wrote in a caption to his post. "To anyone who is struggling with failures or overwhelming obstacles, I wish and will upon you a powerful belief that you are not alone … and collectively we can move MOUNTAINS !!!"

Renner, who recently got back to work filming the next season of his Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown, most recently appeared publicly at Sunday's People's Choice Awards to help host Simu Liu open the ceremony. Renner presented Billie Eilish with the TV performance of the year award and spoke to returning to work as an actor more than one year removed from his near-fatal snow plow accident.

Renner is next expected to appear in the upcoming third season of Mayor of Kingstown. It is unclear when he may return to acting for the big screen following his 2023 snowplow accident, including whether or when he may play his Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero character Hawkeye again in any future Avengers project.

"I'm always game,” Renner recently told Entertainment Tonight, when asked if he will return to playing Hawkeye moving forward. “I'm gonna be strong enough, that's for sure. I'll be ready.”
