Jesse Watters Gets Absolutely Pummeled For Kamala Harris Assertion
Jesse Watters said Monday that Vice President Kamala Harris “didn’t earn” her shot at the presidency because Americans like “self-made” candidates. (Watch the video below.)
The Fox News host drew immediate blowback from critics who reminded the right-wing gadfly that GOP nominee Donald Trump inherited wealth and privilege, as did his children.
Many Democrats have coalesced around Harris after President Joe Biden withdrew from the presidential race and endorsed her as his replacement. She has reportedly collected enough delegates to seal the nomination.
But Watters, like many conservatives in Trump’s camp, is doing his best to dent the former California senator and attorney general’s candidacy.
He echoed rightwing claims that Harris and the party covered up Biden’s fading mental acuity and called Harris “the next puppet in line.”
“She didn’t earn this. She inherited it,” Watters said. “Americans aren’t hot on heirs. They like self-made men and women.”

Viewers vigorously rebutted Watters’ assertion.
“There’s wrong & then there’s REALLY?” one critic wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Here are other reactions:
Yes of course, Ivanka, Don Jr and the dumbest spawn are so clearly the embodiment of “self made”, not at all unlike their daddy, who “self-made” the millions and the real-estate empire he inherited from his own father.

She is the VP.
She earned it.— CB— (@ConservBlue2020) July 23, 2024
She's earned this with actual years of experience and much more than Trump ever did prior to running.
