The Bikeriders was originally set to be released by New Regency, which was in partnership with 20th Century Studios and Disney. However, Deadline has now confirmed it's been acquired by Focus Features.
Focus Features will get the global rights, though it's thought Universal will distribute the movie outside of the US.
It's thought the movie will hit cinemas sometime in 2024.
The drama film, directed by Jeff Nichols, tells the story of Benny — played by Elvis' Austin Butler — a young member of biker gang The Vandals who is mentored by Johnny (Hardy), the gang's founder.
The film was moved from its December 1 US release date last month as a result of the SAG-AFTRA actors' union strike, with AMC announcing shortly after that concert film Renaissance: A Film by Beyonce will hit theatres on the same date.
Critics praised Nichol's direction on the film while also highlighting Comer's performance as Kathy, Benny's wife who acts as the narrator of the film telling her story to journalist Danny Lyon, played by Mike Faist.
The all-star cast is rounded out by The Walking Dead's Norman Reedus, Bullet Train's Mike Shannon, and Narcos actor Boyd Holbrook. Paul Sparks, Emory Cohen, Damon Herriman, Beau Knapp and Karl Glusman also feature.
The Bikeriders is based on the 1967 photo book of the same name by real-life journalist Danny Lyon.
Dune: Part Two star Butler previously opened up on the dangers of filming The Bikeriders, describing the experience as "visceral."
"When we'd be in these groups of 40, riding bikes down a tiny road, and you're thinking, 'If anybody were to crash right now, all of us would go down.' And we're not wearing helmets, riding through cornfields as fast as we can," he told Josh Brolin during a conversation for Interview Magazine.
"I don't know how they insured the film, to be honest," he joked. "And you're riding behind a picture car as well, it's kicking up pebbles in your face, so you're getting hit in the eyes with rocks. It was so visceral."
The Bikeriders is expected to hit cinemas in 2024.
