Joey Graziadei's Fiancée Reveals the 'Great' Advice Dotun Olubeko Gave Her Regarding Bachelor Engagement (Exclusive)
Opening up about how "close" he and Dotun have gotten, Joey also shares how he and Charity have "been there for both of us"
Upon accepting Joey Graziadei's final rose, Kelsey Anderson is sharing a piece of advice from someone whose been there and done that.
On Monday's finale episode of The Bachelor, Joey chose Kelsey and went down on one knee to propose to project manager in Tulum, Mexico. Now that she's answered Joey's million dollar question with an enthusiastic yes, Kelsey exclusively tells PEOPLE of the advice she received from Charity Lawson's fiancé Dotun Olubeko regarding their engagement.
"Dotun gave me great advice," she reveals. "'Just go through it with no refunds.' So I'm like, 'You don't have any refunds here. This is a non exchangeable.' So regardless of what obstacles come our way, I know that we're going to be able to get through it."
Bachelor nation may recall prior to nabbing the coveted leading role for season 28, Joey was a contestant on Charity's season of The Bachelorette. In fact, he was the runner-up to Dotun, who was chosen by the leading lady after accepting his proposal during the final episode.
Opening up about how "close" he and Dotun have gotten, Joey shares how he and Charity have "been there for both of us." He adds that he's sought advice and "tried to lean on the people that have been doing this and successful through it."
"There's two sides. There's the idea of just understanding what all of this is like, and it's also talking to the couples that have been able to make it through it," he explains. "So we've been trying to do a little bit of both, and I think it's been really helpful for us to just understand that we're not alone."
"This is a very unique experience, but other people have gone through it," he adds. "They have been successful going through it, and we're going to try our best to lean on them for help because they'll get it."
In a conversation with PEOPLE in January, Charity and Dotun said they wished Joey "nothing but the best."
“We saw how much of a lover boy Joey is and how much he wants his person. I do believe that he is going to have no problem finding that," Charity said. "He is an incredible person. We're both rooting for him and rooting for his success.”
Dotun called Joey is an “an awesome guy," adding, “He's very intentional and I think that's going to lend very well to the show. We're both excited to watch that journey.”
