Joey Lawrence and Estranged Wife Samantha Cope Reunite Nearly 5 Months After Filing for Divorce: 'Beyond Grateful'

It looks like Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope may be working things out!

The Socked In for Christmas star, 48, seemingly hard-launched his reconciliation with the actress, 37, on Instagram on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

He posted a pair of sweet photos posing with his estranged wife at an event for their new romantic comedy, Marry Christmas, which was filmed two years ago.

"I am beyond grateful 🤍I am beyond blessed🤍I am galaxies beyond thankful," Joey wrote alongside the snaps of him and Cope, adding, "My heart is so full ❤️."

The first photo showed Lawrence with his hand around Cope's waist, as her hand rested on his chest. The second snap featured a photo of the two sharing a kiss with the words, "My forever after," written underneath.

The two also swooned over one another, with Cope commenting on the post, "❤️ love you," to which Lawrence replied, "love you so much baby ❤️."

Marry Christmas stars Lawrence, Cope, Lawrence's famous brothers Andrew Lawrence and Matthew Lawrence, as well as Brooke Ann Smith and Dash Lopez.

Earlier this week, Cope shared behind-the-scenes pictures of the film on Instagram, where her character, wearing a baby bump and wedding gown, hugged Joey's character.

"You’re the best ❤️," Joey wrote in the comments section.

A representative for Lawrence did not immediately respond to PEOPLE.

The reunion comes after Cope filed for divorce from Lawrence in August after two years of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences, according to an Aug. 13 divorce filing obtained by PEOPLE at the time. She listed their date of separation as June 7, 2024.

During the Aug. 30 episode of his podcast The Brotherly Love Pod, Joey discussed life after Cope's filing, as well as allegations that he had an affair with his Socked in for Christmas costar Melina Alves.

“This has been a multifaceted journey these four [or] five years. Actually, there was a lot of pain in that journey despite public perception and what it looks like [on social]," he said in part.

"Life will move on and we will move through this. And my children will be at the forefront."

The two wed in May 2022. They share daughter Dylan, who turns 2 next month.

At the time, Joey described their union to PEOPLE as "so right," adding, "Life can be challenging at times, but when God gives you the right person, it's worth it."

He is also father to daughters Charleston, 18, and Liberty, 14, whom he shares with his ex-wife Chandie Yawn-Nelson.
