John Stamos Sells Beverly Hills Post Office Home

John Stamos is finally bidding adieu to a piece of property near and dear to his heart. The Full House alumnus recently sold his longtime Beverly Hills home for $4.24 million after a little over a year on the market, according to the Los Angeles Times. The estate, situated on a private knoll in the exclusive Beverly Hills Post Office enclave, includes a 3,500-square-foot main house and a guest house that Stamos converted into a padded music room.

“Everything is just sturdy and funky and cool, like me,” Stamos told AD of the house during a 2019 home tour. And indeed, the rustic home features a lot of unique wood detailing and custom architectural features that marry both classic design and modern amenities. The living room boasts a lofted wood beam ceiling, hardwood floors, and a grand floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace flanked by two tall French windows. A set of French doors opens directly out onto the back patio, which is where Stamos and his wife, Caitlin, exchanged vows in 2018. The kitchen, another highlight of the home, is lit with a skylight above a reclaimed-wood table, and houses black cabinets and a farmhouse sink.

The nearby dining room currently contains a farmhouse-style table ideal for entertaining, and features an exposed wood beam ceiling that runs the length of the dining space. The wood detailing continues in the master bedroom, where the door has an intricate carved design. Out back is a large pool (Stamos added a jacuzzi and a water feature to the existing structure when he moved in), as well as a covered terrace for alfresco parties and a flourishing fruit and vegetable garden that produces everything from lemons to kumquats to tomatoes to beets. Of particular note is an impressive outdoor pizza oven, which also happens to figure in the couple’s first date. Though he’ll be leaving his home behind, Stamos is no doubt bringing his many memories from the house with him to the equestrian estate he purchased in the Hidden Hills last August.
