John Travolta is congratulating Timothée Chalamet on his box office success!
On Tuesday, Travolta, 70, congratulated Chalamet, 28, on Instagram for joining him in sharing the record of having two top-grossing films in eight months — after over four decades of holding the record on his own.
“Congratulations Timothée! It’s great to have someone to share my box office record with. Sincerely, JT,” Travolta wrote.
Besides his message, the iconic actor reposted the report previously written by PEOPLE on Chalamet’s new box office record achieved within eight months with his most recent films Wonka and Dune: Part Two.

According to Indiewire, Chalamet’s latest movies have each amassed a domestic total of $200 million, following their respective releases in December and March, becoming the only two films to do so since last July.
Until now, Travolta was the only actor to have held this impressive box office record with his films Saturday Night Fever and Grease, released eight months apart between 1977 and 1978.
Wonka has grossed a domestic total of $218 million and $630 million worldwide. Chalamet plays the chocolate connoisseur Willy Wonka in the film, the third live-action adaptation of Roald Dahl’s children’s novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Since the release of the sci-fi sequel Dune: Part Two on March 1, in which Chalamet also stars in the leading role, the film has achieved a global total of $494.7 million. It is projected to surpass Wonka’s gross total next week, per Indiewire.
Travolta can next be seen in the upcoming heist film Cash Out, alongside Sex and the City's Kristin Davis. The actor plays a professional thief in the action-packed flick who comes out of retirement to take on a difficult job in Miami as he is joined by his ex (Davis).
