These Jokes About Patriotism Leaving People's Bodies Now That The Olympics Are Over Are Wayyy Funnier Than They Should Be
Well, well, well, the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, is over. After a neck-and-neck race to the end, the US and China tied for the most gold medals with 40 each. The US concluded with a reigning 126 medals overall, beating out its closest competitor, China again, a country that pulled in 91 medals, AP reports.
These streaks, combined with the burning nature of competition, bring out the best (or possibly the worst) in us every few years. And people online have joked about noticing a spark in their patriotism and love for the *CAW CAW* USA, USA, USA.
I'm no patriot at all but something about the Olympics makes me wanna say 'Murica with a beer and an American flag shirt like white trash elegance

But now that the games are over, our beautiful joint experience also ends. Now, instead of bonding over sports and athleticism, people are making tongue-in-cheek comments about how patriotism is leaving their bodies until the next Games roll around.
Reminder: These are jokes.

Your love for the Olympics doesn't have to be over just yet. The Paralympics start on Aug. 28, so why not continue rooting for Team USA and the amazing Paralympians? Even better, they'll be airing on Peacock, too.
