Josh Donaldson addresses Tim Anderson situation, apologizes to Rachel Robinson

Donaldson then apologized to Rachel Robinson — Jackie's widow — for "any distress this incident may have caused."

Donaldson has not played since the series against the White Sox. He was placed on the COVID-19 list Monday. That same day, MLB announced a one-game suspension for Donaldson. Donaldson remains on the COVID-19 list, though reportedly tested negative, suggesting he could return soon.

MLB has not issued an update on Donaldson's appeal, so it's unclear whether he'll be eligible to play once he's activated from the COVID-19 list.
