Julian Assange’s wife reveals she has not told his children their father is free
Julian Assange’s wife Stella has said she is “elated” her husband has been released from prison, but says she is yet to reveal the news to their children.
The WikiLeaks founder, 52, has been released from Belmarsh and flown out of the UK as he prepares to enter a guilty plea as part of a deal with the US Justice Department that could bring an end to his long-running legal saga.
He was charged with conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defense information by the US government.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme on Tuesday (25 June), Mrs Assange said: “I'm not used talking about Julian free in the present tense."
