Julianne Hough sports Lady Gaga's Oscars dress at “DWTS” finale

A star is... reborn?

Julianne Hough is here for the applause, applause, applause.

The Dancing With the Stars cohost appeared on the show's season 32 finale wearing a very familiar gown — that would be because it was the same design as the dress that Lady Gaga wore to this year's Oscars.

Gaga made a surprise appearance at the Academy Awards back in March wearing a version of this sheer black dress fresh off the Versace runway. Hough's look was an exact dupe for Gaga's, including the diamond necklace, which appears to be built into the gown.

The dress, which features a sheer long-sleeve bodice with exposed corset boning and a drop-waist skirt, was worn by Gigi Hadid to open the Versace FW23 runway show in March, just days before the Oscars. Gaga was not expected to attend the ceremony, despite being nominated for Best Original Song for "Hold My Hand" from Top Gun: Maverick.

Hough made no reference to the fact that she was wearing Gaga's gown — though she took care to never turn her back to camera, considering that Gaga's dress famously (tastefully) exposed her backside.

Perhaps Hough merely wanted to pay homage to the fact that the show is handing out a trophy on Tuesday night?
