The Toronto Maple Leafs are on the verge of advancing to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2004 and it’d be difficult to find anyone more fired up than Justin Bieber.

Bieber showed love to the Leafs on Instagram, following the team’s 2-1 victory in Game 5 against the Boston Bruins on Friday, posting a photo of the team’s logo without a caption.

Although it was a fairly innocuous post, Bieber’s mentions predictably took a turn for the worst and the pop superstar responded to a relentless Winnipeg Jets fan who insisted on using the comments section to profess their love for their club.

Bieber tried his best to be polite, informing the fan that he’d block them if they kept it up. The interaction quickly devolved however, and Bieber eventually told the user “f— you and the Jets” which drew nothing but support from his legion of fans.

The Jets took notice and asked Bieber if they’re still friends. In any event, it’s too late now to say sorry.

Bieber has been a regular fixture at Leafs games, taking in a November game against the Philadelphia Flyers with his wife, Hailey.
