“Canadians have tremendous affection for the Royal Family, and are excited to welcome The Duke and Duchess to our nation for their second official Royal Tour of Canada. Sophie and I look forward to showcasing beautiful British Columbia and to promoting awareness of both youth and mental health issues alongside Their Royal Highnesses” said the prime minister in a statement.

The foursome will attend several engagements together.

After officially welcoming Prince William, Kate and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte on Saturday (Sept. 24), Justin and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau will enjoy a private audience with the British royals. The following morning, the foursome will tour Vancouver's new Immigrant Services Society’s Welcome Centre before attending a reception with local youth who are "helping to make a difference in their communities."

The group will also visit Kitsilano Coast Guard Station for a showcase by first responders. While there, they will also take part in a discussion on mental health with a variety of representatives from first responders' organizations. The topic is an issue close to Prince William, Kate and Sophie's heart. All three have worked tirelessly to raise awareness in hopes of ending stigma surrounding mental health.
