After Republican nominee and former president Donald Trump won the polls last week in a decisive and stunning victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, securing a second term in office, the Trump family is back in the spotlight.

Trump's eldest grandchild, Kai Madison Trump, in particular, has been garnering a lot of attention on social media ever since she made her political debut on stage at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin earlier this year in July.

“To me, he’s just a normal grandpa,” Kai had said during her speech. “He gives us candy and soda when our parents aren’t looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school.”

"A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing," she had added.

Married three times, Trump has five children and 10 grandchildren. Here's what to know about the president-elect's eldest grandchild, Kai.

What is Kai Trump's age?

Kai is 17 years old. She is a junior at The Benjamin School, a private school in North Palm Beach, The Palm Beach, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK reported. She is expected to graduate in 2026, her bio on SportsRecruits states.

At 17, Kai is just one year younger than Trump's youngest child Barron Trump, who is 18.

Who is Kai Trump? Who are her parents?

Born on May 12, 2007, Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump (formerly Vanessa Kay Pergolizzi) who divorced in 2018. She is the eldest of Donald Trump's ten grandchildren and has been in the public eye from a young age, attending high-profile events such as her grandfather's inauguration and the White House Easter Egg Roll, USA TODAY previously reported.

Her father, Trump Jr., 46, is an American businessman serving as executive vice president for the Trump Organization, and former reality television personality, appearing on "The Apprentice." He is an adviser to his father and was a constant feature on Trump's campaign trail.

Though Kai Trump was born and mostly raised in New York, she now lives in Jupiter, Florida with her mother. She moved to South Florida about four years ago, when she was 13, according to her SportsRecruits profile.

Kai has four siblings: Donald John Trump III, 15, Tristan Milos Trump, 13, Spencer Frederick Trump, 12 and Chloe Sophia Trump, 10.

Kai Trump is a golf player

Kai may be in high school, but she is an avid golf player, playing for Benjamin girls golf and helping them secure wins, The Palm Beach Post reported. In fact, despite the chaotic political activity around her, Kai hasn't missed a golf event or a single practice for her team and was even playing for the regionals in Miami on the day of the election, she shared in an Election Day Vlog posted to her YouTube channel.

She plays competitively and earlier this year, won a ladies' club championship at Trump's golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida.

"Golf has always been a massive part of my life and is my biggest passion," Kai says on her SportsRecruits profile. "I always aspire to be a leader and a positive figure on and off the golf course. I hope to continue my athletic career at the college level."

During her speech at the RNC, Kai shared that she and her grandfather bond over a mutual love for golf.

“When we play golf together, if I’m not on his team, he’ll try to get inside of my head, and he’s always surprised I don’t let him get to me,” Kai said. "But I have to remind him, I’m a Trump, too.”

Kai Trump goes viral for Election Day Vlog

Kai, on Monday, shared a behind-the-scenes look into what went down at the president-elect's HQ on Election Night. The video had more than 2 million views, as of Wednesday afternoon.

In the video, Kai can be seen getting ready for Election Night before heading to Mar-a-Lago, where her family and other officials of the Trump campaign were watching election results come in.

Kai also provided an inside look into the viral family photo, including Elon Musk, taken in Mar-a-Lago on election night, with footage featuring Trump talking about "dark MAGA" hats.

Trump has 10 grandchildren from his elder three children Trump Jr., Ivanka and Eric. His fourth child, Tiffany, is expecting her first child though it is not yet known when she is due.
