Kaitlyn Bristowe’s ‘Moana’ Performance on ‘DWTS’ Proves How Far She’ll Go with an Injured Ankle

An ankle injury didn’t stop Kaitlyn Bristowe from channeling Moana during her latest Dancing with the Stars performance.

Last night, DWTS hosted the show’s annual “Disney Night,” which highlights a variety of songs from classic movies. The former Bachelorette, 35, was tasked with performing a Rumba to “How Far I’ll Go” by Auli’i Cravalho alongside her professional partner, Artem Chigvintsev.

The problem? Bristowe hurt her ankle during last week’s dance, which put a damper on their rehearsals. However, that didn’t stop the contestant from hitting the ballroom stage (injury included) for a performance that puts Carole Baskin to shame. #NoOffenseCarole

The DWTS judges—Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough—were extremely impressed by Bristowe’s performance and awarded her a total score of 23 (one of the highest of the night).

Shortly after the performance, Bristowe celebrated the victory on her Instagram Story and revealed that it all came down to: What would Moana do?

“Moana would still dance on a hurt ankle,” she captioned the post. “So, LET’S GOOOOOOOO.”

The news came just a few hours after Bristowe confirmed that she had an MRI but hadn’t received the results. “Sing it with me. I AM MOANNNNAAA. Not gonna lie. It’s been a tough week. Ankle is still so sore which has really put a damper on rehearsing. No MRI results as of this minute, which has been mentally draining too,” she wrote on Instagram.

Injury aside, Bristowe sure can dance.
