Kamala Harris Slams Trump’s Debunked Abortion Claims On ‘Call Her Daddy’ Podcast: “This Guy Is Full Of Lies”
Kamala Harris appeared on an episode of Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast to discuss pertinent issues in the upcoming election, particularly for women voters.
Appearing on a Sunday episode of one of the most-listened-to podcasts on Spotify, Harris discussed sexism in the workplace, sexual assault and abortion rights. Host Cooper began the episode by saying she had prepped seven different versions of the audio show, including one about fracking, later deciding that she should discuss what was most relevant to the podcast, herself and her audience: political and personal problems facing women today, such as reproductive rights.

When Cooper brought up the since-debunked claim by GOP candidate Donald Trump that there are women who are “executing babies” post-birth, Harris slammed her opponent as someone who is unfit to be president.
“That is not happening anywhere in the United States,” the vice president said. “It is not happening, and it’s a lie — just a bold-faced lie. Can you imagine? He is suggesting that women in their 9th month of pregnancy are electing to have an abortion. Are you kidding? That is so outrageously inaccurate, and it’s so insulting to suggest that that would be happening and that women would be doing that.”
She concluded, “This guy is full of lies, I just have to be very candid with you.”
Later on during the comedy-advice audio show, Harris said, “The idea that someone is not only so careless and irresponsible and reckless, but out and out, lies to create fear and division in our country and thinks he should be president of the United States, standing behind the seal of the president of the United States, using the microphone that comes with that and using that voice and those words in such an irresponsible — and that’s mild — way?”

Harris’ appearance is part of a strategic media campaign, kicking off a week of interviews and appearances on programs like The View, The Howard Stern Show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, a special edition of 60 Minutes on Monday and a Univision town hall on Thursday. Her VP pick, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, is also engaging the press circuit leading up to the election a month away, such as with a forthcoming interview on the SmartLess podcast.
Following the announcement that Harris would be appearing on her show, Cooper faced criticism from listeners who were Trump supporters for seemingly being biased. However, the host kicked off the episode with a disclaimer that she had reached out to Trump’s team and invited him on the show, as she did not intend to conduct a “one-sided conversation.”
“If he also wants to have a meaningful, in-depth conversation about women’s rights in this country, then he is welcome on Call Her Daddy anytime,” Cooper said.
