Kanye West Got Kim Kardashian a Hologram of Her Late Father for Her Birthday
UPDATE: November 2, 2020—Kris Jenner has weighed in on Kim Kardashian’s controversial birthday present. “You know, we didn’t really know what was happening because it was such a small group, inner circle. Just our family and a few friends,” she told Andy Cohen on Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live, per E! Online. “And when we were summoned to this room and said you know, ‘Kanye has a gift.’”
According to Jenner, the entire experience of viewing her late ex-husband’s hologram was extremely emotional. “It started and we just all started to cry. It was just so intense,” she said. “I must have watched it 20 times. It was really good. He is the king of gifts, and he worked on that for a really long time. So it was definitely one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. It was really wild.”
Jenner says the Kardashian family as “all in tears” and wanted to “see it again and again and again.”

Kim Kardashian’s 40th birthday festivities have been over the top, but Kanye West may have just pushed them over the edge.
First she had a surprise party stateside that recreated all her past birthdays. Then she and her inner circle went to a private island, much to the dismay of the entire internet. And on that island, we’re now learning, West gifted Kardashian a hologram of her late father, Robert. Yes, a hologram…that talked and everything.
So what did this hologram say, exactly? Really sweet, wonderful things that toasted to his daughter, of course. But he also called West “the most, most, most genius man in the whole world,” so…who wrote this script? Was it West himself? It had to have been.

“Hologram from Heaven,” Kardashian wrote in the caption of this video. “For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. ✨ It is so lifelike and we watched it over and over, filled with lots so tears and emotion. I can’t even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together. Thank you so much Kanye for this memory that will last a lifetime.”
On her island-side birthday festivities in general, Kardashian wrote in another IG post, “40 and feeling so humbled and blessed. There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter. For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today…We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is.”
Now I need to see videos of Kanye West writing this hologram’s script (if he, in fact, did write it).
