Out of all of the unusual collaborations to grace the British high street (we’re looking at you KFC), who would have ever thought that the second Greggs X Primark collection would be the one to grab the attention of none other than Hollywood star Kate Beckinsale.
The English actor, 49, gave a nod to her British heritage when taking to Instagram on Friday to share her love for the bakery chain in a logo emblazoned swimsuit.
The Serendipity actor donned a swimsuit-style one-piece, which is actually a bodysuit, in the sandwich shop’s signature blue colour which features the Greggs logo repeated on the diagonal.
The deep scooped neckline and high-leg cut hugged Beckinsale’s enviable figure, whilst she highlighted her waist with a thick white, ‘80s-style belt, and of course, it looks like it could be taken straight from the runway.
The mother-of-one completed the look with none other than a matching white fascinator, styling up her outfit declaring the £8 logo-covered piece perfect for any time of day.
“Everyone relax,” she wrote in her Instagram caption, “it is possible to take a Gregg’s swimsuit from day to night.”
“PANIC OVER,” she added.
The British actor, who now lives in Los Angeles, even tagged the bakery brand in her post, showing her appreciation for the unexpected collaboration from across the pond.
Watch: Greggs and Primark launch second fashion collection
Greggs and high-street store Primark launched a collaborative collection in February this year with an 11-piece collection featuring the bakery chain’s logo across items including a hoodie, socks and boxer shorts.
The limited-edition launch was such a hit that the two high-street giants collaborated once again for a second collaboration, expanding to a 21-piece collection including T-shirts, bucket hats and sliders, perfect for the festival season.
But it seems that the one-piece bodysuit, which is available in stores for £8, is the piece that Beckinsale took an immediate liking to.
It's not the first time Beckinsale has donned some unusual garments on Instagram. The actor shared a video of herself decorating her Christmas tree last December in a mini skirt.
But it wasn't the length of the skirt that caught fans' attention. It was the fact it was plastered with the face of Barry from Eastenders, no less!
