Actress Kate Hudson isn’t shy about sharing the intense exercises she does to stay healthy and keep her body in tip-top shape. The 42-year-old has previously shared videos of her bodyweight workouts, arms and abs exercises, and even her leg exercises with her 13.4 million Instagram followers. But in her most recent Instagram post, the Raising Helen actress had a surprise workout buddy join in–her 3-year-old daughter Rani.

Hudson’s mini-me stood beside her to join in on her mom's squat-to-press total body movement. Hudson sported an all-black workout set, while Rani joined Mom in a long-sleeved pink dress. The Bride Wars actress performed a deep squat while holding a small black kettlebell in her left hand. As she stood up from the squat, she twisted to the right and pressed the dumbbell up with her. Rani, copying her mom's movement, held a small pink dumbbell and mimicked Hudson.

As she raised the dumbbell, Rani exclaimed, “I did it!” To which Hudson responded, “You did it!”

Hudson’s trainer Brian Nguyen, who also famously trained stars like Mark Wahlberg and was presumably the one filming the video behind the camera, offered encouragement as the two performed the movement. “Nice work,” he said. “Tighter on the way down. Own it. Own it, and push through tight.”

As Hudson completed the exercise she breathed deeply and her daughter mimicked the same breathing technique. After Nguyen finished his 10-second countdown, Hudson turned to her daughter to offer her a high five in celebration of them both completing the movement.

Nguyen also shared the video to his own Instagram account and captioned it, “Happy, healthy kids come from happy, healthy parents. Kate gets it–way to model for us all!”

The pair exercised together in what appears to be Hudson’s home gym that included mats hanging on the wall, a small trampoline, a water cooler, and a shelf full of multicolored dumbbells. Hudson and her daughter stood in the center of the room over a blue mat performing the workout.

Hudson is a mother of three: Rani, 3, who she shares with her fiance Danny Fujikawa, son Ryder Russel, 17, who she shares with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and son Bingham “Bing” Hawn, 10, who she shares with ex-finance Matt Bellamy.

The actress recently revealed in an interview with People that she found her workouts were no longer working for her body, so she switched her full-body workouts up and now focuses on setting new goals and trying things like pilates and hot yoga that leave her feeling strong and flexible.

And, it seems like Rani Rose is following in her mother’s footsteps. We can’t wait to see what other exercises the pair will do next!
